I cast my gaze away, pained,

“I can’t either.”

“Since when, Love!” he burst, but quickly remembered to tame his emotions.

“Last night. It’s like she suddenly disappeared.”

I explained everything to my mate. He was deep in thought. I could see the conflicting emotions on his face.

“ But you still have your strength and speed?”

I nodded to answer his question. He cupped my face after a few minutes and said,

“We’ll find a way to get her back. Don’t worry too much. We have many mage allies that can help. For now, I’ll double security on you,”

“I’m meeting my brother and Prince Nicholas. They might help me try to get her back through natural forms of con
