My heart instantly knew that she was watching me. My mate was standing by the window, her eyes stuck on me. I turned to catch her gaze, her heart pounding in her chest. She was so sheepish, yet she held my gaze. I noticed that Apphia never averts eye contact, no matter how shy she is.

It meant she had a powerful wolf inside her, even though she couldn’t feel it yet.
