Nicholas is standing there. He should have turned and been on his way to work, but he’s just staring at me. Every part of me shivers. My shiver has nothing to do with the cold weather because my body is hot. He makes me shiver and gives me butterflies in my belly.

“Go,” I say.

The Alpha finally nods regally and turns on his heel to leave the garden. I stay motionless and watch him walk with the grace and confidence of a strong alpha.

I was in high spirits today. Even Dr. Hudson noticed and asked about it.
