Chapter 425. The Full Moon Is Tomorrow

Apphia POV

“He broke my heart,” she winces, her face falling. The waiter is back before I can ask more. He opens the wine bottle and pours a little into a glass. Vicky gulps it and nods at him. He pours it into two wine glasses, places the bottle on the table, and leaves. I take a sip and savor it in my mouth. It’s not as sweet as I expected it to be.

“So what happened with you and Drake,” I get her back on topic. It’s obviously affecting her.

She snorts, “he doesn’t know how ready he is to commit to a relationship with me,”

“Maybe-”

“We been fucking for six months, Apphia. I don’t want to be in any situationship with him or anyone. It’s either you want me wholly or not,” she declares, taking another large sip of wine. I’m proud of Vicky for knowing what she wants and standing by it.

Our waiter arrives with our food. It is delicious, and I’m happy to announce I almost finished my plate. Nicholas would be so proud of me. I wish he were here.
