Nicholas wraps his arm around my waist firmly, the darkness vanishing instantly. He puts his nose in my hair and inhales my scent casually as if he’s not torturing a man with his power. Another bone of my father dislocates- his elbow, and then another; this time, he screams in agonizing pain. A crowd is forming, each one mortified.
