Chapter 487. Is He Jealous?

After breakfast, we head for the Black Castle. Our journey there is quiet. Jamila doesn’t even glance at me. My mind takes me back to last night, to the intense kiss we shared. I lost myself for a second there. My need to claim her overwhelmed me, as did her taste. It felt good, and for a moment, a few moments, the pain of losing my Apphia was gone. What is Jamila Clark doing to me? Am I starting to develop feelings for her? Shit, I can’t let the new matebond get to me.

When we reach the black castle, people are working in the garden. Jamila exits the car before it can stop entirely and hurries to the garden.
