The next day, Maria's apartment

Surprise was an understatement when Maria opened her door early in the morning to find Miguel Lombardi standing by the side dressed in a pair of blue jeans and a white T-shirt, a dark shade on and a sly smile on his face. 

"Mr. Miguel??" Maria questioned. She looked behind him wondering if he had come with Gabriella, and Gabriella and probably forgotten to inform her over the phone but Gabriella was nowhere in sight. 

"Mr?" Miguel raised an eyebrow. 

"Em... Morning Sir, what are you doing here? Is everything alright with Gabriella?" Maria asked, her voice laced with concern. 

Miguel had come here for another reason, but seeing the surprised and worried look on Maria's face, he knew if he didn't come up with something quick she wouldn't give him a listening ear. 

"Yeah, Gabriella is in trouble and your attention is needed. I came to pick you up because she asked that you be there," Miguel lie
