I barely got any sleep last night, despite being exhausted. I knew I needed to talk to Sin and Uncle Carson to find out what was going on and how deeply involved he was in the mafia.

As much as I wanted to see him, I couldn’t do that without getting Sin’s permission, which was nerve-wracking, especially since I knew he was very much aware of who Uncle Carson was to me. Jason had told me he had done a background check when I was brought in.

I sighed, getting out of bed. I needed to talk to Sin before he left; he had told me during the night about his trip to China. He wasn’t giving much detail, only that he was going to be back before the end of the week, as he had a party to attend.

Running my arms through my hair, I picked up the robe, wrapping it around my naked body before making my way out of the room to Sin’s study. I gave a small knock, waiting for his response, and when I got none, I pushed open the door to find it empty.
