KIERA STEVENS’S POV

The doctor gave me a sympathetic glance. Pulling her lips together into a small smile, she replied sincerely,

“Oh dear! Protection isn’t 100% useful. Anyways, I am just guessing… Let me do the test for you… The result wouldn’t take much time…”

I nodded my head hurriedly. No, I couldn’t be pregnant in any way not with his child. Ryan’s safety and future were already uncertain. I couldn’t take the risk of bringing another life into this world.

The tension spiked so hard inside my brain that I didn’t even notice when the doctor took out blood from my veins. I snapped out of my thoughts only after hearing her voice,

“It’s done! I will come to report you half an hour later!”

“You sure, you don’t need me here, Kiera?” Molly spoke in worry, kept asking me continuously. I just smiled at her, feeling grateful to have a friend aka assistant like her,

“I am absolutely fine! You have to go now, Molly. The companies deserve
