Chapter 54

AZRAEL DE LUCA’S POV

“You can’t do anything just by watching her, Luca! Better go home! The little prince is alone!” David reminded me repeatedly, considering how hopeless I looked from outside. It had been fucking 2 days since she didn’t wake up. I had been standing right outside of her ward, smoking heavily until my whole body was smelling like tobacco. Despite my sour mood, I couldn’t sleep on my bed. Each time, my eyes closed, I felt the terror of losing her for forever.

Since I didn’t reply, David stopped speaking. He took a glance of the woman inside and spoke to me again,

“You haven’t done anything about the lawsuit. What are you going to do with custody?”

Crap… I almost forgot…

I mumbled through the heavy layer of smoke, coming from my mouth,

“It depends on her now!”

David was dumbstruck and didn’t question anymore as if he had read through my intention. He spoke with a cautious voice,

“You have fought against your grandfather.
