Chapter 34. Kiss Me Until I Can’t Breathe

ISABELLA’S POV

As soon as Dante walks into the room, I prepare myself to see him covered in blood, but the only thing I can see on him is a small cell phone and on his face is his signature scowl. He looks stressed but he also looks like he made some progress with Alberto.

I didn’t want to be anywhere near Alberto while Dante was torturing him but from the look of things, Dante wasn’t as cruel with him as I thought. I smile and rush hastily towards him and cover him in a warm hug. “You didn’t kill him.” I say because from the look in his eyes I can tell. He doesn’t have that darkness in his eyes when he’s murderous about something and that tells me that Alberto gets to live another day.

“I didn’t.” He says returning my smile while drawing circles around my waist with his thumb.
