It felt like glass shards were flowing through Kasia’s veins. Her muscles twisted into unnatural spasms as she convulsed against the cold, sterile floor. The world blurred as she flailed in agony. Every nerve in her body screamed. Her bones felt as if they were going to shatter at any moment.
