Kelly POV

Clara’s scream ripped through the warehouse, raw and filled with fury.

“CALL 911!”

Her voice was hoarse, shaking with unrestrained rage as she clutched Davis. Adrian kept his gun raised, watching her carefully, but Lucian hadn’t moved.

And me? I was still trying to breathe. Still trying to process everything she had just said.

Davis groaned weakly beneath her, his body barely twitching. His hand, shaking and slick with blood, tried to move, reaching for Clara.

His fingers barely brushed against her arm, and his lips parted, voice so faint I almost didn’t hear it.

“C-Clara…”

It was a whisper, but it was loud enough for anyone to hear.

Clara gasped, her anger slightly faltering. She turned toward him, eyes wide with panic, pressing down harder on his wound.

“I’m here! I’m right here, Davis. Just, just hold on, okay? I’ll get you out of here, I swear.”
