The rain had started hours ago, settling into a steady, unhurried downpour that changed the entire mood of the city. It turned the streets into dark mirrors, reflecting neon lights and passing headlights in shaky, distorted patterns that stretched and blurred with every movement.
And outside, the city kept moving under it all, slower, softer, but still alive beneath the rain.
