Kelly POV

I barely had time to process the weight in my chest before Adrian stepped into the room, eyes brighter than I’d ever seen them. He held up the test, his hands shaking slightly, his smile stretching so wide it almost looked painful.

“Tell me it’s true.”

His voice was filled with something real. Hope. Excitement. Love. I felt my stomach drop.
