Kelly POV

I kept walking, quickening my pace just enough to put a little distance between Adrian and I. I didn’t want him to notice the tightness in my chest, the knot that had grown with every thought of Francesca. The woman who always seemed to be right there, waiting to slip between us. It had nothing to do with him, really, I knew that. But there was something about her that made the jealousy burn harder, like a fire that wouldn’t go out, no matter how much I tried to ignore it.
