Scarlett’s POV
I opened my eyes, squinting to adjust to the stream of light from a small window. The room smelt of blood and body fluids, coupled with a smell I hadn’t forgotten.
“Silas,” I whispered, looking around the small space. I didn’t know what to feel at that moment, but one thing was certain: I wasn’t afraid of the foolish alpha. In fact, I licked my lower lip in anticipation of tearing him apart, limb by limb. Jax’s face flashed before my eyes, making my wolf whimper. I needed to know what Silas had planned, then I would contact him, my mate.
Just then the door creaked open, allowing more sunlight to stream through. “Slept okay, my little slave?” the man mocked, raising an eyebrow when I growled.
