Book 2: Zephyrus Is Here

Felixe’s POV 

After a restless night, it was morning and I went to work. The whole day I waited for Zephyrus yet he didn’t put up an appearance. What was wrong? 

My phone buzzed with an incoming call from Derrick. I accepted it immediately. Did Zephyrus reach Hay River instead? 

“Yes, Derrick?” 

“Hera is driving me crazy with her questions. She hasn’t eaten a thing since yesterday when she didn’t see you with me. How do I explain your absence to her, Felixe? She isn’t keeping well. If this continues, I’m afraid I would have to admit her to the hospital as well.” My mouth hung open with astonishment. I hadn’t considered this at all! 

Here I was planning to lead Zephyrus to her while she was torturing herself in my absence.
