Book 4: Was Stavros Gifted?

Hazel’s POV

I stretched my sore body as I opened my eyes the next day. Stavros wasn’t there, but I could hear him outside on the sprawling compound. There was a game of soccer going on, which I knew was Stavros’s favorite sport after fencing and boxing, of course.

Easing off the bed, I watched him from the enormous bay windows. He looked so gorgeous, like a sinful dream, as he raced after the ball. He might have sensed my presence as he faltered and looked up at me. My heart skipped a beat like it always did around him. Even after so many years, he still had that effect on me.

“Stav, pass!” yelled Orion and he gave me a mock salute and went ahead with the game. I couldn’t look away, watching him with a silly grin on my face. I knew he was showing off, yet I stood there watching his antics.
