Lena’s POV
I watched my mom gaze around her in wonder. “I have never been on a helicopter before.”
“Now you can, mom. This one belongs to Zephyrus.” I couldn’t help but feel proud of my mate. He seemed to read my mind and held my gaze longingly. I knew what was going on in his mind. It was the same thing that was now causing butterflies to flutter in my stomach. For the first time in years, I felt relieved, and relaxed, as if a load was taken off my shoulders.
