Chapter 175. Misgivings
Liã watched the portal close. Her father really should have passed on the wisdom of magic to Thomás, but if she could come up with an idea to make him believe that her life was in danger if she didn't have the power that the knowledge of magic brought, he would pass it on to her. She would try to calm down and show him the same woman Moses had met at the lake. Then he would trust her again and she could even return to Moses' palace before the time set by her ally. She considered these things and went back to her quarters to change.
Thomás arrived in the throne room and was not surprised to see that his father was already distressed by his delay. He took the sheet showing how to perform the ritual out of his pocket and handed it to his father, who approached and took it, relieved.
