Chapter 345. Celebration
In secret, Moses and Samael planned this wedding, instructed by the sages, who believed that everything that happened that day would serve as an example and future generations would follow as a model for their wedding rituals. They hoped that, as in other worlds, a new cultural wave would begin with Pharaoh's young sons.
The brides and grooms were to wear primary-colored silk clothes, put on various precious jewels and get tattoos that represented their gods. During the ritual, the grooms were to give their wives a gold necklace to symbolize their lasting commitment. And brides were to give a gold bracelet for the same purpose.
With all these changes, they hoped to impress and surprise their guests.
Moses noticed that Samael spent a lot of time with Maureen every time he visited, and a suspicion began to grow in his heart. He talked it over with Afhany as they got ready for the evening meal.
