Chapter 98. The End of Secrets

Afhany looked again at the crowded table and smiled reassuringly.

"That sounds so... Macabre!" She let go of his hand and sat down. He followed her.

"You don't seem to care about your fate."

Afhany just shook her shoulders.

"This feast has another reason too. I want to see you well fed and happy."

"Stop it, Pharaoh! Every word you say sounds to me as if I were a pig being prepared for slaughter."

Moses laughed and looked at her fondly.

"I'm going to miss that black humor."

"Not yet. I'm here. Then enjoy it. And let's eat, I'm very hungry."

"Sure."

While they ate they talked about various subjects, Moses thought Afhany the most intelligent woman he knew, because he could talk about anything with her who always had an interesting opinion on the subject in question. Lunch went smoothly and Moses felt all the weight of the previous c
