Chapter 11
The bright moon penetrated through the window, filling the entire room and shining on Liliana. She just lay quietly like that next to Samuel.
“Aunt Liliana, I want to hear about Cinderella. That girl has a terrible stepmother. Luckily, there is a little bird to help her,” Samuel said softly, his small hand still holding Liliana’s hand tightly, seemingly afraid that she would leave him.
Liliana heard Samuel say that… She felt her eyes sting a little. Was he afraid that Stephen would also find him a stepmother, and then he would have to suffer like Cinderella? How could such a small child have to bear such great pressure? She hugged Samuel.
