“What? My parents aren’t here?” Liliana stared at Stephen with wide eyes, her expression filled with anger. This man was provoking her again. Did he find it amusing to do so?

Liliana thought to herself, turned around, and walked ahead. She realized that she and the devil in front of her were fundamentally incompatible. She didn’t want to be in the same place as him for even a minute longer. She believed that spending time with him would drive her insane.

“You can leave if you want, but if your parents come back, I won’t be nice enough to remind you,” Stephen said without hesitation, making his intentions clear. If Liliana left now and her parents returned shortly afterward, he wouldn’t let Andrew and Laura leave.

Liliana, enraged, turned back around. Fine, she would wait. She didn’t believe her parents wouldn’t return overnight.
