Alex’s tone was no longer teasing or sarcastic like usual. He was serious and earnest as he spoke slowly.

Chatta had intended to respond, but suddenly, she remembered the child in her womb. She didn’t know who the father was, and she couldn’t simply marry Alex and bring her unborn child into the mix. She hesitated and couldn’t bring herself to accept his confession.

"Right now, I don’t want to think about this. Can you leave me in peace for a while?" Chatta thought for a long time but couldn’t come up with a reasonable solution. So, she decided to prolong the time and deal with her revenge first before considering matters of love.

Alex was taken aback, and a hint of sadness flickered in his eyes. He had wanted to say more, but when he saw Chatta’s hesitance, he decided not to push further.

"Stay here and rest. I’ll be outside, and if you need anything, just call out. I’ll silently protect you."
