Chapter 29

Alexander's POV: 

"Good morning, Officer Jasmine," I greeted the officer. 

"Good morning, sir," she replied. 

"I did not hear from you again," I told her. 

"Yes. Sorry to inform you but I am not in charge of your case anymore," she told me. 

"My superior has asked me to drop the cases, that he would be working on now," she explained to me. 

"Okay. But can I meet him now?" I enquired. 

"Oh, that is his office there," she said, directing me. 

I thanked her and I proceeded to the superior's office. 

"Victor Harrington's son, I guess?" he said before I could even utter a word. 

"Yes," I answered. 

"I guess you are here concerning your father's kidnap case," he said again. 

"Yes," I answered him again. 

"I am so sorry but we had to drop that case.. you know there is a lot that we have to do," he told me. 

"And the workforce here is low
