Sophia's POV

It was a warm summer evening, and Emilia was eagerly awaiting her 18th birthday. In her pack, every wolf's 18th birthday was a special occasion because it was the day they would finally turn into a wolf. Emilia had been looking forward to this day for years, but unfortunately, it turned out to be the worst day of her life.

When it was time for Emilia's transformation, she tried with all her might, but nothing happened. She couldn't turn into a wolf like everyone else in her pack. Her mate, who was also her childhood friend, took one look at her and walked away. Emilia knew what that meant – she had been rejected.

The Alpha of her pack was furious. In their pack, turning into a wolf on your 18th birthday was a tradition, and Emilia had broken it. According to the pack's rules, anyone who was rejected had to be banished. Emilia's family and friends were powerless to help her. They couldn't go against the Alpha's decision.
