All that had transpired about nine years ago. Now Iris and her twin brother Ares were already twelve, while my first set of twins Devin and Kevin were big boys of fifteen, learning the art of warfare. They undergo rigorous training and though I protested, Alpha Sylvester would hear nothing of it.

“They have to be strong enough to rule after me,” he said. “I do not want my sons to be weak Alphas. They have to be able to defend and protect their packs!” he said seriously.

“But they are still very young,” I complained.

“No, they’re not!” he said shaking his head, vigorously. “I and my late brother started our training at eight. Their training is long overdue,” he said. “It seems I’ve been treating them with kid gloves but I shall be stricter with them henceforth. They shall thank me later! And from tomorrow, Ares will join his brothers. He should have started long ago as well!”
