Chapter 70. A Full Moon
Doris stood her ground and didn't move an inch towards him. She glanced at her surroundings, but didn't see another person near enough to see them. How had she strayed so far from the path? Would anyone even help her if they were near?
"Can't you hear? I said to get over here!" He shouted, the sound made her flinch when it echoed around them.
Doris curled her hands into fists at her sides. She was tired of people screaming at her and telling her what to do. "No. I'm going to my room for the evening, good day." Doris turned to continue down the path. She regretted turning her back on him the instant she heard his footsteps smack against the snow. He grabbed her arm and forced her to turn and look at him.
