The man was masked and it fitted into the darkness of the wood.

Harper, even with his bleeding arm and leg, was still trying to find Madison. Madison was shaking, she was terrified being next to a man that she didn’t even know.

“Maddie! You know you can’t hide from me!” Harper called out her name as he searched the woods.

“Shh! Do not make a sound,” the masked man told Madison.

“Maddie! If you don’t step out now, you’ll never see Mark in your life again!”

Harper was saying whatever he could to get Madison out of her hiding place.

“Shh! Do not move, he’s just trying to make you come out. He’s playing a mind game with you.” the man told Madison.

“He has my son, I just can’t let him leave without knowing where my son is,” Madison sounded very worried and naive too.

“Do you think he’d hand over your son to you if you go out there to meet him?” the man asked Madison again. He was surprised by how naive she could be.

“Come out!” Harper
