Chapter 11
“Mom? Where is Cage's plate?" She finally let out her concern.
"Why are you expecting to see his plate on this table?" Mrs Richards scrunched her nose in utter disgust.
"Mom, it's not fair.”
"Once he learns to act like a man, then he'll be treated as such.”
Lucy's mother always had a way of belittling Cage and Lucy did not like it, although she was used to it already.
“Here he comes!" She announced as the loud sound of the heel of his shoe kissed the tiled floor in a sweet rhythm.
“Good morning everyone," he smiled at them but his gesture was met with mumbling and frowns— which he had gotten used to.
“Come sit with us," Lucy managed a tiny frown.
“He will do no such thing!" Mrs Richards didn't waste a single time before flaring up. The mere sight of his son-in-law always made her mad.
