“You keep rejecting me, but you have to understand that I can give you the whole world and all you have to do is be mine!” He added.

“I have a husband,” Lucy told him politely, shifting her gaze from his lust-filled eyes.

“Oh please! When was the last time that pauper got you something tangible? He doesn't deserve you.” Augustus smirked and leaned towards Lucy who backed away again.

“Um..” she cleared her throat, the atmosphere was getting tense.

“Is there any other thing you want to tell me?”

“Just one thing. I can build you up, and I can equally tear you down.”

His words made Lucy weak in the knees but she maintained composure and a straight face.
