Chapter 207

Lucy froze at the question her mother threw at her. She didn't see it coming. 

“Mom, I didn't know you'd be up by this time” Lucy said trying to divert from the question.

“Well I am up and Kyran is sleeping, but I ask again Lucy and for the last time. Who dropped you off?” Lucy's mother asked frowning.

“Mom it's a colleague, you sound like something is wrong. Is everything okay mother?” Lucy asked.

Lucy took a few steps closer and sat next to her mom.

“The only problem is you not being sincere and i don't know why, I'm your mother you are a grown up woman, you have a kid and you are free to date anyone Lucy as long as they are good to you. You don't have to lie using work when you are going on a date. You deserve love, but I'm not cool with you lying” Lucy's mother spoke softly.

Lucy's hear sank at her mother's words. She knew she had to tell her the truth but she wanted the waters to be still before she made any move.
