Chapter 297

McQueen and Lucy turned as their gaze met Ava's own. They had almost forgotten about Ava.

“How are they?” Ava asked looking tired.

“Mira's fine but needs recuperating time. Kyran is still in the theatre” McQueen responded.

Ava nodded lightly.

“I'm sorry, I couldn't get him to safety. I just didn't see Lucas coming and…” Ava was interrupted from her explanation.

“It's fine, you did your best.” Lucy said.

Lucy's mom jolted back awake at the sound of voices. She saw Ava. Quickly she got up as she walked towards Ava.

“You!” Lucy's mom said.

Lucy and McQueen stared at them in confusion.

“Do you know her?, mother” Lucy asked.

Ava smiled a bit as she recognised the woman.

“I do. I know her, she helped Kyran and i, she fed us secretly too” Lucy's mom said.

“Thank you” Lucy's mom said to Ava who nodded her head.

Cage walked in on them as he was a bit tired.

“Is there any news on him yet?” Cage asked.
