Cassius’s POV

Monday, May 13th

I groan as I look at my alarm clock. It was a long night last night helping the young lad get comfortable before I was able to get to sleep myself.

I wrap my arms around my mate. While it took some time to find her, I’m grateful that I practiced safe sex and have no kids outside of a permanent mating. I rub her slowly blossoming belly, receiving a few light kicks from the little ones growing within her.

I kiss the back of her neck looking for subtle signs that she might be willing to have sex. At twenty years old, she’s eight years my junior and despite never meeting the harshness of physical and sexual abuse, she still lived the hard life of an omega after her parents died. We met during my visit to a pack an hour away. She was serving dinner despite the crippling pain of being in heat.

We knew immediately that we belonged together. Alpha Driscoll saw the signs and set it up. It seemed he was actually ea
