Chapter 92

Scarlett’s POV

We joke around all evening till Jane is about to leave for LA. I help her pack up which isn’t so much of a task because she came here with nothing but the clothes she had on that day.

However, we went on a shopping spree the day after and it’s those outfits that we pack up in a travel suitcase.

I accompany her to the airport and it hurt to see her go. I had gotten used to her presence and now it seems as if it’s impossible to be so far apart.

“You’ll call?” I ask as she’s about to leave.

“I’ll visit.” She replies and we hug before she leaves.

“I love you Jane.” I say. “With all of my heart.”

She smiles and a single tear drops from her eyes.

“I love you more.” Her lips brush my cheeks lightly before she steps back.

I wave like an over enthusiastic toddler and she returns it with a more power filled wave. I watch her disappear among the crowd and I leave only after the plane has left the airport.
