Chapter 53. Scared
Daffodil flowers, Savannah’s favorite, were all around the church—starting from its front door, extending inside, where these daffodil flowers seemed to guide the way to the altar.
Savannah looked around when she took her first step inside the church, and as she did, she individually recognized the gazes fixed on her. All these people were relatives, friends, and acquaintances of hers and Trevor.
Alongside her broad smile to the guests watching her as she walked into the church, tears began to well up in her eyes.
The piano’s soft tones filled the entire church, and after a few moments, their wedding singer, a friend of Shirley’s, began to sing.
“Every time you’re around, I feel both nervousness and bliss abound… Your voice, it seems, I can’t quite hear, but it feels so marvelous when I speak with you, my dear…”
As Savannah approached the flowers, her Lolo Sandino and Lola Sally welcomed her, flanking her and slowly guiding her to the altar.
