Chapter 59. Everything Has Changed

“Happy birthday, our baby boy, Xander!” Savannah immediately approached Xander, the three-year-old son of Sandra and Drake, to pinch his cheeks, give him his toy gift, and, of course, for a hug. He looked incredibly cute, like a mini version of Sandra and Drake combined.

“What will you say to Aunt Savannah, Xander?” Sandra playfully intervened, preventing Xander from opening Savannah’s gift right away.

“Th… thank you so much, Aunt Sav!” Xander stammered, and even though Savannah didn’t initiate another hug, he hugged his godmother willingly, then returned to inspecting his gifts. There were quite a few, considering Savannah arrived a bit late due to her morning shift at the hospital.

“I’m so glad you made it! I would’ve been really upset with your godson if you hadn’t,” Sandra teased, giving Savannah a mockingly stern look. “Shirley just got home too… you barely missed each other. Too bad. We could have had a picture of us three after three months!”
