I touch her shoulders lightly, as to comfort her and she looks at me and smiles. “They’re gone, aren’t they?” She asks and my heart aches.

“They would be back. They would be back very soon.” I say to her and she smiles.

“You can continue.” She says to Jason and he makes a content face.

“Sterling rejected me,” Jason says and Lizzie snorts.

“Well, clearly then you are obsessed with him,” Lizzie says and I smile a bit.

“Would you please let this young man finish what he’s trying to say?” Marilyn surprises us all by asking.

Even Jason is surprised.

“Well, that was unexpected,” Griffin mumbles to himself and chuckles lightly.

Lizzie raises her hands up as if to say she surrenders and then puts them down.

“Thank you, Marilyn,” Jason says with a smirk. “That’s your name, right?” He asks and I roll my eyes.

He killed her husband and you’re telling me he isn’t even sure of her name? Shows a lot about him.
