Chapter 52. I Don’t Want to Be Alone Tonight
Catherine’s POV
I was sitting in front of the huge, wide window, looking outside. The weather had picked up, and it was now raining cats and dogs.
Colt left in such a hurry that he left me afraid. I was sure that Grey would reach Sam in time before he crossed the border.
I sighed.
Things shouldn’t have gotten so out of hand. I shouldn’t have stopped Colt from going after his brothers.
What if I had let him? Would Sam believe him?
I shook my head, knowing.
When Sam helped me earlier that morning, something was already off. He smiled and made his silly jokes, but his smiles never reached his eyes.
I didn’t think much of it until the drive to the beach house.
I could see the pain in Sam’s eyes, and when Colt brought the SUV to a stop, I knew Grey had something to do with it.
Another breath escaped my lips.
Kia shouldn’t have told Luka to take his human out to cool off, but at that moment, she thought it was best.
