Angelica’s POV

“Why did you ask him to kneel if you were going to stand near the window and watch with that worrisome expression on your face rather than resting?” Alchemist asked me as I stood on the balcony of my room and watched Dylan and Ericson kneel on the ground.

Dylan said he was equally at fault for what happened, and thus, he should be kneeling there, too.

I didn't stop.

It was like I had accepted their apology and forgiven them long ago, but for some reason, I wanted to see if they would go that far to keep me happy.

The reason was both childish and selfish, and I would've smacked my own head for doing something like this, especially when Ericson and Dylan were wounded from the war. Still, I didn't stop myself, just like they didn't stop
