"So, it's all right for you to be late, right?" He did so in a cold manner by raising an eyebrow.
The disposition was as carefree as if nothing had transpired the previous evening.
Yesterday, he said nothing at all about her stealing the drawings from the studio.
She quickly shook her head and hurriedly said, "No. " She did this out of fear that the president would take some sort of action against her. I didn't want to make any justifications for my actions, so I showed up late and was ready to take the consequences.
"Do you torture yourself?" He sneered at me and asked, "How would you punish?"
"That, that..." is what you said. She was in a rush, and all she could think was, "Punish me for wiping the floor, washing the toilet, and cleaning!"
She left the office in a hurry, not giving him the opportunity to refute her claims before she left.
