Kaytly continued to assist the patients in the hospital, but memories started flooding back to her mind as she paused for a moment. She stopped her hand movements and sat down beside Mrs. Trovica’s bed.

“Mrs. Trovica, do you remember the first time you saw me? A group of kids bullied me, pushing me to the ground, calling me an orphan nobody wanted. But you drove them away and took me back to the hospital. I felt warm inside when I saw your gentle face wiping away the dirt from my face. Did you know that you were the one who made me feel warm for the first time?”

“Mrs. Trovica, please wake up a little earlier, okay? The kids at the orphanage miss you, especially me. I miss you,” Kaytly said, her voice filled with sorrow, tears streaming down her cheeks, falling onto Mrs. Trovica’s hand.

As if the warm tears had caused a reaction, Mrs. Trovica’s fingers trembled slightly, but Kaytly was too engrossed in her grief to notice.
