Narrator’s POV

The anticipated feel of his blood running down his chin gave him the calm he needed. Jessica was a sensitive topic. Nobody bothered to disturb her or him, and at the same time, they needed to keep her alive because no one truly knew what the king had in mind for her.

“Jessica is not a problem of yours, mongrel. Neither is she a concern of yours. Now tell me, what is she?” Richard said, reverting to business.
