Chapter 81

Jason

Since we left the show earlier than expected, I stopped at the park so we could take a stroll around because the highlight of my date could only happen after sunset.

We walked hand in hand talking about all sorts of things.

“So when did you find out you were allergic to fish?” I asked since that question has always been on my mind.

“Oh, I think it was when I was eight, as you know we weren’t well off so we could barely afford a lot of stuff, so my mom managed to buy sardines so our lunch box to school would look a bit decent. The moment I took my first bite at school, I was rushed to the infirmary and the doctor said if I had swallowed it, I might have died. I didn’t tell my parents of course because I didn’t want them to worry, I just didn’t eat those meals again. So I became a bit thin and she thought I was being picky.” She said and whispered the last part but I heard her alright.

“Well, I like picky.” I smiled and she smiled too.
