“W-What did you say?” she stammered. She was not sure if she was just hearing things. Blake’s face looked flushed and he seemed uncomfortable. He straightened and he rubbed his nape with his left hand. His right hand was still holding her hand which was on the table. She hid a smile. A very hot male appearing to be slightly embarrassed looked so cute. She removed her hand from his and also straightened on her seat but Blake took hold of it again.

“Sweetheart, I said I love you,” he repeated.

She looked at him without blinking. Oh dear! My perv but oh-so-delicious man is actually saying I love you! She happily thought.

“Maybe what I feel for you is love. What I know is I can’t bear not seeing you or talking to you. The thought of you being angry with me and you might do something to get back at me is hellish,” he said agonizingly.

She let out a small smile. “You think I will look for another man?”
