Wintertime in Williamsburg was usually first announced by the tiny droplets of snowflakes that littered the streets days before the real snow arrived. It was a time of the year that was met with lots of excitement by the locals as they could not all wait to welcome it.
To a regular inhabitant of the town of Williamsburg, it had taken a long time for winter to arrive this year. The months had rolled very slowly, quite uncharacteristic of it. But to Alex, it seemed just like yesterday when he’d come back from a battle that had almost taken his life to meet an empty house.
He’d later learned that his father and the Millers were arrested for the murder of his mother. The case had dragged on for weeks in court until the judge finally gave out a judgment that seemed to tally with what everyone had in mind.
