Chapter 36
The gray car came to a stop before the block that Elliot lived in with his family. Sally killed the engine and leaned back in her seat. She heaved a sigh, her hands still holding on to the steering of the car as if she was second-guessing her decision to give Dr. Elliot Baker a drive home.
All through the ride, she’d done her best to still the many voices in her head asking questions that demanded an explanation from Dr. Elliot Baker. Why had he suddenly turned pale when he received the results of the DNA test? Was there something she did not know?
