“I am not insane. It’s useless,” I said, and Kayden’s startled reaction was amazing. “It’s a myth that Lycans get power from Selena’s amulet; it only enhances the wearer’s power. It only works on true Lycans; it will be useless to Altair, who is not a pure Lycan,” I explained.

“Here, I thought you had lost your mind,” Kayden smirked. “Always a calculative bastard. You always move with your strategies.”

“I am flattered by your compliment, which is rare,” I said. Kayden rolled his eyes at me.

“Well, I have a lot to take care of for today’s victory party,” Kayden said. “You can say wolves and Lycans are working to take down the bad and rotten ones for good.” I nodded.
